The research group for Machine-readable Nature (MaNa) serves as the contact point for research data infrastructures at the Natural History Museum in Oslo, including the Norwegian participant nodes of GBIF, OBIS, and DiSSCo. Our key research questions focus on machine-readable FAIR research data.

About the group

Key research questions of MaNa (research group for Machine-readable Nature) focus on advancing scientific data standards and data publication solutions for machine-readable FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable) research data.

	GBIF Norway - National participant node of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility Funded by the Research Council of Norway (since 2005).
	DiSSCo Norway - National node of the Distributed System of Scientific Collections. Horizon Europe, ESFRI.
	BioDATA Advanced - Accelerating biodiversity research through DNA barcodes, collection, and observation data (2021-2026). Funded by HKDir.
