Michal Torma is our new Data steward. He will be working within the Norwegian GBIF node to publish new data, train students and employees, scale up digitisation of museum collections metadata, and much more.

During the last twenty years the NHM have accomplished a lot in databasing and digitisation of our collections for research, management and posterity. Michal will be a part of furthering this development, and make a larger share of our collections available to the public and the scientific community. The data steward position is funded by a mix of projects.

Michal has a MSC degree in environmental sciences and a background in programming and computer science, for instance in the 'Natur i endring' project.
