About the symposium
Norsk symposium i biosystematikk promotes Norwegian scientists who study any aspect of biosystematics and provides a national forum for both early-career and advanced researchers to present their work.
The symposium will gather scientists and students to talk about their projects and current results, to share experiences on methods, and to support networking within the scientific community in the field of biosystematics.
We especially encourage early-career researchers to use this meeting as an opportunity to present and discuss their own research in front of a friendly audience and to meet their peers.
In connection with the symposium, BIOCORE and Artsdatabanken will offer a pre‑symposium workshop, “Red List Species and Their Relevance”. The workshop will give participants a practical introduction to the Norwegian Red List for Species, its role in assessing extinction risk, and how Red List categories are applied in real research and management contexts.
