Digital library: papers on Staphylinidae

This collection is a result of efforts of several colleagues who contributed the PDFs they scanned. When traveling to examine staphylinid collections at different museums we often faced an uneasy choice between having to carry a lot of heavy reprints and burning PDFs on CDs, which occasionally failed (usually when we needed them most). This digital library aims to present an alternative solution. The first files in these collection were made available on July 21, 2005. If this resource proves to be useful, it may serve the community of staphylinid workers for years. Those of us who do not have access to good libraries may particularly benefit. If someone is willing to share PDFs of papers on staphylinids please email Vladimir Gusarov (vladimir.gusarov&nhm.uio.no [the ampersand (&) is to be replaced with @]). Please keep in mind that works published less than 50 years ago may be protected by copyright.

There are several major initiatives aiming to digitize biodiversity-related publications. New titles are being added to digitized collections all the time. For titles not available in this special collection it may be worth searching the Biodiversity Heritage Library or simply use your favorite search engine to look for the paper you need. A good chance is someone has already digitized it. Emailing Staphlist is another option.
