Academic interests
My research focuses on biogeography, ecological modelling, and biodiversity science, with an emphasis on how species and ecosystems respond to environmental change. I work with species distribution models, GIS, and remote sensing to study climate change impacts, habitat suitability, and conservation planning. I am particularly interested in mountain ecosystems, tropical biodiversity, and the development of biodiversity digital twins for data-driven conservation and decision-making.
Background
I hold a PhD in Ecological Modelling from the University of Oslo and have a multidisciplinary background combining ecology, genetics, and quantitative analysis. My work integrates species distribution modelling, spatial analysis, and evolutionary perspectives to address questions in conservation biology, invasive species management, and macroecology. I have experience working across African and global systems, with a focus on applying interdisciplinary approaches to real-world biodiversity challenges.
