Schizobrachiella stylifera

Schizobrachiella is a bryozoan genus that is listed as being present in Norway (Artsnavneliste), but no species name has been added. So it will be nice to add Schizobrachiella stylifera as the first one!

S. stylifera lacks both avicularia and spines, so character-wise it is perhaps not the most exciting species, but it has a wide sinus (the cleft on the proximal side of the orifice) and a distinct looking ovicell that looks like it has been divided into three parts.

This is a species that has a circumpolar distribution in the Arctic.
