Photography and filming for private use are permitted at the Natural History Museum, including the Botanical Garden, but consideration must be shown for other visitors. Photography that involves many people or extensive equipment that may be a nuisance to other visitors is not permitted.
All professional photography, whether commercial or not, is only permitted with prior written consent from the Natural History Museum. This also applies to wedding photography.
Please note that the Natural History Museum has a general ban on commercial activity on our premises, including advertising and fashion photography.
Processing of applications may take up to 10 working days from the date of submission.
Depending on the nature of the project, we may occasionally allow editorial photography free of charge. This is determined by the Natural History Museum on a case-by-case basis.
Prices:
Wedding photography (NOK 1,000 incl. VAT per hour)
Outdoor, full day (NOK 7,250 incl. VAT)
Outdoor, half day (NOK 4,150 incl. VAT)
Indoor, full day (NOK 12,250 incl. VAT)
Indoor, half day (NOK 6,650 incl. VAT)
An additional charge may apply if the presence of security guards or other staff is required.
