Academic interests
My academic interests are broad, with a particular focus on alpine and Arctic ecology. Through my PhD project I investigate how treeline and forest line dynamics (both current and historical) are shaped by climate, land use, and other drivers. I primarily work with and analyze these through modelling. My research integrates data collected through fieldwork with quantitative modelling.
Background
My background bridges science and environmental management. I have an MSc (2021) in Evolution and Ecology from the University of Oslo, where I investigated phenotypic variation associated with autopolyploidy in Saxifraga oppositifolia. I subsequently worked at the Norwegian Environment Agency in the Section for Mapping and Environmental Monitoring (Feb 2022 - June 2023), before I started my PhD at NHM (June 2023).
