BIOCORE Webinar Series: Reproducibility in your research

The first webinar in our BIOCORE series will focus on practical ways to strengthen reproducibility in biodiversity research - from data management and analysis workflows to transparent reporting. The session is particularly relevant for early career researchers who want their projects, code and datasets to be robust and reusable.

In this webinar, we will discuss how to make your projects, code and datasets transparent, well-documented and easy to reuse. You’ll learn key steps for improving data management, structuring analysis workflows and reporting your methods so others can understand, evaluate and build on your work.

Using the recent article “Demonstrations of reproducibility are not reproducibility” in Nature Ecology & Evolution by Miguel Gómez‑Llano and Stephen P. De Lisle as our starting point, we will discuss what meaningful reproducibility and replicability look like in practice, and how you can apply these ideas to make your research more robust and reusable. Reading the article in advance is optional.
