In addition to the main spreadsheet data, Past can include a collection of trees as part of the analysis data. These trees can be obtained in one of two ways:
- Loaded from a Past or Nexus file, opened from the main menu
- Generated within Past, with the parsimony analysis or neighbor joining module
The trees in the tree collection are used by the Phylogenetic independent contrasts and the PGLS modules in Past.
