Micro X-ray Computed Tomography (micro-CT) Scanning

The Geo Laboratory at the Natural History Museum (NHM-UiO) is equipped with a Nikon XT H225 ST micro computed tomograph (micro-CT), installed in 2016, which is suitable for non-destructive high-resolution 3D imaging and quantification of internal morphological structures in solid objects.

Software Packages

  • Avizo (v 9.5.0) for 3D imaging data processing and analysis.
