Showcase: Microfossil showcase
Model of a pollen grain.
Pollen grains are the male fertilization cells in gymnosperms (i.e. conifers) and angiosperms (flowering plants). They are usually less than
0.05-0.10 mm in diameter. Gymnosperms are known from the Carboniferous-Recent; angiosperms from the Late Jurassic to the present day.
The model is made by Marta Szubert, Warszawa.
