Early Homo sapiens showcase
Early members of Homo sapiens lived in Africa, the Middle East, and the south eastern part of Asia. The fossil finds have not yet given a sure answer to the question whether the development from Homo erectus into Homo sapiens occurred only once (in Africa), or several times in different areas in Africa and Asia. Genetic evidence from different groups of humans (Homo sapiens sapiens), however, indicate that this step in the human evolution only happened once, and in Africa. From Africa, the first modern humans must have migrated to Europe, Asia and Australia, 150000-100000 years ago. List of contents in the early homo sapiens showcase
