Present time..... The study of fossils throughout time gives us information on the relationships and developments in the organic world. Man experiences an increasing tempo in the extinction of plants and animals. Some believe that man plays a major part in the evolution of life on Earth, but as has been seen from the fossil record, the reduction or even extinction of some groups makes way for new forms to evolve. The speed in environmental destruction, and reduction of habitats are certainly factors in the eradication of threatened life.
